Planned well, safety upgrades look like good design, not medical equipment. Done in a hurry after a fall, they rarely do. If you're thinking ahead, you have the one thing that makes this easy: time. 541-728-3148
Most people call us after something happens. A fall, a hospital stay, a close call. At that point the work has to happen fast, choices are limited, and the house ends up looking like it was modified in an emergency, because it was.

A curbless shower, a bench, properly anchored bars that look like towel bars, better lighting, a comfort-height toilet. This is where most falls happen, so it's where most plans start.

One step removed, a solid handrail, a covered landing, better lighting on the path from the driveway. Small work, large difference.

Widening a tight doorway to 36 inches, swapping knobs for levers, adding a pocket door where a swing door crowds a bathroom.

The single cheapest safety upgrade there is. Motion-activated night lighting from bedroom to bathroom, brighter task lighting in kitchens and stairs.

Making sure a main-floor bedroom and full bathroom are possible, even if you don't need them yet. Knowing the option exists is worth a lot.

Pull-down or drawer-style storage so nothing lives above shoulder height, a lever faucet, better task lighting over the counter and stove, and a spot to sit while you work. If a kitchen remodel is somewhere in your future anyway, this is the cheapest time to build it in.
This is the part people worry about most, and it's the easiest to solve. Every safety feature we install has a version that looks like ordinary good design:
If a guest walks through and doesn't notice anything, we did it right.
Assisted living in Central Oregon typically runs $6,000–$7,000 a month, and the cost rises as care needs grow. Most planned safety work costs a fraction of a single year:
There may be help paying for it — VA grants, long-term care insurance, and local programs.
You don't need to decide anything yet. We walk the house together, room by room, and you get a written plan that prioritizes what matters most, with honest pricing.
Most people who call us are years away from needing anything urgent. That's exactly the right time to call. $350 — credited in full toward any project over $5,000, or half toward smaller work. Ready when you are. 541-728-3148
